OVERVIEW

The AICP Show, The Art & Technique of the American Commercial, is more than just an awards show judging the best work of the year. It's an ongoing archival project with cultural and artistic significance. The Show is judged by close to 400 advertising and production professionals, and is assembled by a curatorial panel of prominent industry leaders.

The AICP Show: The Art and Technique of the American Commercial and The AICP Next Awards are preserved in The Museum of Modern Art’s Department of Film’s state of the art archives for future generations to study, and are available for use or exhibition by the museum’s curators. All individual works and each year’s shows in their entirety can be viewed exclusively at www.aicpawards.com, the AICP Awards Archive website.

WHY YOU SHOULD GO

It's the precursor to Cannes Lions. Everyone who is anyone in the creative world attends this  event. PLUS the Award Show at the MOMA on the final day is THE party of the year celebrating the Best of the BEST.

 

TIPS

There are TWO types of people who attend this event. Those who arrive to SEE the screening of nominees and winners, and those that just come for the schmoozing and celebrating and drinks... We LOVE watching the REEL at the MOMA so we advise getting their early to secure a seat. 

Once you are out of the theatre, be prepared to WALK. The location is HUGE and you have private access to some areas of the MOMA PLUS you need to talk to see all of your peers.
